Qindek returns to Wolfskuil for his second release featuring hypnotic stripped down grooves that constantly mutate. The title track ‘Modu’ does so with ease and builds into an organic monster of its own, covering a span over 12 minutes of clever twists and turns with equal success. Melodies, tonal bleeps and reverb dance beside one another and bend to form a moving body of tension and groove. The type of music any dance floor would get easily lost in once they’re locked in. Both ‘Due’ and ‘Krux’ aren’t as dramatic, however offer the type of atmosphere, depth and linear drive, that when in the right hands, could effectively serve as peak time builders.
