Frenchman Terrence Fixmer is no stranger within the world of electronic music. With a career spanning 20 years, his greatest strength seems to be his resolute relevance, adding to that his evolution irrespective of the task at hand. Releasing his first album in 2001 and five years since his last, ‘Depth Charged’ is arguably his most introspective work to date.
The Album is characterised by Fixmer’s powerful deep, dark and pulsating tones yet carefully plays with melody and atmosphere within the same breath. As an extension, he manages to weave a story and explore a complete concept by illustrating certain emotions. Something that becomes a lot clearer upon the second listen.
The album comes celebrated by other artists in other medium such as Raf Simons who used ‘Elevation’ to showcase his works for Dior at the CFDA-Awards. In addition, “Inside of Me”, was exclusively selected by Marcel Dettmann for his Fabric 77 mix.
