John Mendez Aka. Silent Servant, alongside Regis, Function & Female, became an integral piece of the collective Sandwell District and to back it up, his first showing on Hospital Recordings titled ‘Negative Fascinations’ created a lot of noise in 2012 and it all seems to be coming to a crossroad for his debut appearance on Australian shores over the Easter long-weekend. Sydney fronts first with the Strange Signals party at One22 club on the 28th of March, followed by Melbourne’s Mercat Basement for a ‘Colourful Storm’ on the 30th. If his mixes across FACT, mnmlssgs & WhereNext? are indicative, it’s going to be LONG weekend.
